IT Security Social Network
Peerlyst is a leading online information security community that builds a social network for IT professionals with a focus on information and network security.
The company was facing issues in developing a Quora-style web portal to accelerate a purpose-built, specialized, social network for information security professionals. They wanted to create real-time integration and social sharing using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. The social network would enable members to rate various security solutions, rate comments from peers to self-regulate feedback, allow members to earn badges for their participation, and facilitate IT Vendors to introduce their solutions to IT Professionals.
Peerlyst developed a Quora-style web portal to accelerate a purpose-built, specialized, social network for information security professionals. Zymr was chosen for its extensive experience in developing and implementing responsive UX driven UI.
We built and implemented a responsive UX-driven UI for this social network. The network-enabled IT professionals shared their practical knowledge of security products from leading vendors like Cisco, Symantec, Juniper, Imperva, and others. It enabled members to rate the help provided by other members, gamified knowledge sharing with leaderboards, and connected professionals with companies seeking to hire them. Users ranged from consultants to CISOs, making it one of the best online platforms to form networks with security professionals. We developed UI using responsive HTML5 JavaScript architecture and delivered UX design services for the platform. Our team deployed the web UI JavaScript on Node.js. We leveraged OpenID and oAuth2 to ensure user security. We also developed a Jenkins and Maven-based CI process and used Github for the software repository. We provided extensive QE Automation and testing services.
